Butterfly watch straps Quick Release, Page 2
Butterfly watch straps (butterfly clasp, butterfly deployment clasp) open when you press both side buttons at the same time. The clasp then unfolds to two sides, while the ends of the strap stay connected. Almost all models come in 18 to 24mm, many also in 26 and 28mm. You will find the other two clasp types among the straps with deployment clasp.
Good to know about the butterfly clasp
How the clasp works
The butterfly deployment clasp has two wing hinges. Press both side buttons at the same time and it unfolds to two sides. When open, it looks like a butterfly, hence the name.
To put the watch on, first pull the loose end of the strap through the loops, then press the clasp shut until it clicks. You set the strap size at the lower end of the bracket. Open the small hinge there, pull the strap through to the right length and close it again.

Fitting and adjusting the butterfly clasp
The video shows how the butterfly clasp is fitted to a watch strap and how to adjust the length to your wrist. Ideally you need a spring bar tool to fit it.
For wide and padded straps
Most straps in this category are leather. The butterfly clasp is more robust and made for thicker straps, for example padded leather straps. Many models also come in 26 and 28mm.
Colours and care
You can choose the polished clasp in steel, gold or black for every strap. Wipe off dirt with a soft cloth and a little soapy water. Then dry the clasp well.
Besides this clasp, we offer straps with a folding clasp and with a safety folding clasp. A comparison of the three types is on the page for all deployment clasps.
The butterfly clasp is also available on its own, in polished stainless steel in steel, gold or black. You will find it among our single buckles and clasps.
