Fitting spring bars into the strap
Before a new strap goes on the watch, the spring bars have to be placed in the ends of the strap. The video shows how to put them in so that they sit in the centre and are easy to compress later.
Is a spring bar bent or missing? You will find replacement spring bars in our shop.

Fitting a strap to the watch
The spring bars are in the strap, now it goes on the watch. The video shows how to compress the spring bar with the tool, place it between the lugs and let it click into place.
Then give both parts of the strap a short pull. If a spring bar is not seated properly in its hole, you will notice it straight away.

Tool
The tool and spring bars from the videos
Spring bar tool
In all the videos we use our spring bar tool. It has a fork and a pin. The fork goes on hidden spring bars. You use the pin when the hole for the spring bar goes right through the case or the buckle to the outside. If a tip breaks or bends, just order the part: replacement fork and pin.
Double-shouldered spring bars
We recommend double-shouldered spring bars. Between the two shoulders the fork gets a good grip, so you need little force and the tool slips less easily. On a spring bar without a double shoulder the tool has hardly any grip. You then have to press hard and risk scratching the watch.
