What matters
Finding the right watch strap
Whether a watch strap fits depends mainly on lug width, strap length and fit. First measure the lug width in millimetres: the distance between the two lugs of the watch where the strap is attached. Your new watch strap should have exactly this width, otherwise it will sit loosely or cannot be fitted.
Length matters just as much: a watch strap should neither slip nor pinch. Besides your wrist size, the size of the watch and the way you like to wear it play a part. Most models come in regular length M. For slim wrists there are also shorter XS watch straps, and for larger wrists longer XL watch straps.
Once width and length are clear, choose colour, material and design to suit your style. A new strap makes your watch wearable again and gives it a whole new look.
For men's and women's watches
Watch straps for men, women or unisex?
Many watch straps cannot be clearly divided into men's and women's models. What counts is the size of the watch, the lug width, the strap length and your personal taste. That is why many models suit both women's and men's watches.
On slimmer wrists a shorter strap can make sense, while longer versions are more comfortable on larger wrists. The width of the watch matters too: a suitable strap should sit cleanly against the lugs and suit the proportions of the watch.
Watch straps for women
Women's watches usually have a smaller case and so a narrower lug width. Very narrow lug widths of 8, 10, 12 or 14mm are found mainly on women's watches. You will find suitable straps among our narrow watch straps from 8 to 14mm.
Many women's watches, however, have a lug width of 16 to 20mm, fashion models sometimes more. You will find these straps right here in the product list, fastest with the filter “Strap Width”. If the standard strap is too long, a shorter XS watch strap is the right choice.
Watch straps for men
Men's watches often have a larger case and wider lugs, usually from 18mm. Most common are watch straps in 20mm and 22mm, for large or sporty watches also 24mm and wider.
Besides the width, the length counts: if the standard strap is too short, a longer XL strap gives you more room. Then choose material and colour to suit your style and how you wear the watch.
